To ensure the smooth progress of the supOS Hackathon and protect the rights and interests of all parties, participants are required to carefully read the following terms. By registering for the event, you are deemed to have understood and agreed to all provisions.

Participants may compete in teams of up to 6 members. By submitting a project, the entire team is considered to have agreed to and accepted these rules.

1. Authorization & Usage Rights

   • By submitting the registration form, participants voluntarily authorize the organizer and its partners to use their submitted content worldwide, free of charge, and on a non-exclusive basis.This includes but is not limited to: project descriptions, demo screenshots, video materials, and written summaries.

   • The authorized usage includes but is not limited to: brand promotion, technical communication, case studies, and commercial sales-related purposes.It takes effect upon registration, and remains valid even if the participant withdraws, does not complete the competition, or does not win a prize.

     
     

2. Intellectual Property Compliance

   • If a project incorporates third-party open-source components, participants must ensure that their use complies with relevant license terms and assume all legal responsibilities arising from such use.

   • Participants must confirm that their submission does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets.Any legal disputes or liabilities arising from such infringement shall be the sole responsibility of the participant.

     
     

3. Rights to Showcase Winning Projects

   • Once confirmed, winning projects may be publicly displayed or cited by the organizer on official channels, including but not limited to:the official website, social media, GitHub, promotional materials, and developer events.

   • The organizer reserves the right to feature submissions in future commercial collaborations or promotional campaigns.If commercial licensing is involved, the organizer will communicate separately with the team.

   
   

4. Content Legality & Ethics

   • We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

   • All participants must submit a demo video as part of their entry.Submitted content must not contain any material that is defamatory, violent, threatening, discriminatory, hateful, obscene, or otherwise violates public morals and ethical standards.

   • Participants are responsible for ensuring that their content is lawful under the legal framework of their respective countries/regions and does not violate any local or international laws or regulations.
